George Herring is a 19-time world powerlifting champion, founder of Body By George gym in Georgia, and a lifelong advocate for natural fitness, nutrition, and healthy aging. Over the last 40 years, he’s trained more than 35,000 people—many of whom are still walking, lifting, and laughing thanks to the lifestyle changes he’s helped them make.

With a master’s degree in exercise physiology and specializations in natural foods and pain-free movement, George has become a trusted voice for people over 50 looking to regain energy, mobility, and purpose.

George's Story

I grew up with a strong father, a farmer who taught me hard work. I wanted to make him proud—and I did. I became one of the strongest lifters in the world, winning 19 world titles and setting 64 records.

But what really mattered was the choice I made: to train naturally. No drugs. No shortcuts. Just food, movement, and dedication. That’s what my gym was built on, and it’s what I still believe in today.
